LA CALA DE MIJAS

A nice chilled out undulating ride to “La Cala”, the next seaside village along the coast for a coffee and cake stop on the beach, and loop back to the villa again. No need for transport for this one as it’s one of our local nearby hills pretty much behind our base, so we generally ride straight out of the front door. It’s not a long ride so it’s ideal for a quick spin in the morning if your flight is in the afternoon, or it can also be joined at the bottom of the Valtocado river bed for those who fancy an extra bit of pedalling and extend the ride for another hour or so. The terrain is singletrack and forest paths surrounding a golf course. Great sea views where you can see the coast of Africa on a clear day! No major climbs although no flat stuff either!
