OJEN DH

This is the Spanish downhill championship course, classified on Trailforks as a double black…this is how truly technical and rocky the trail is. Definitely an awesome challenge for those full face helmet riders out there. It starts just above a well-known rural hotel up in the mountains called “Refugio de Juanar”, at about 800m above sea level, and finishes in the village of Ojen at aproximately 300m above sea level…so the descent is pretty brutal. Our van awaits at the bottom of the trail, just outside the village, where we have the choices of either shuttling up to do it again (or as many times as we wish), or head to Ojen Enduro area, or a 30 min drive back to our local Mijas mountain for a chilled descent back down to base in Fuengirola.
