Spanish Downhill Championship Course – Double Black Diamond – basically not for our type of clients!!
This is the real deal — the official Spanish Downhill Championship course, rated as a double black diamond on Trailforks. It’s seriously technical and rocky, offering a proper challenge for experienced riders who love steep, demanding terrain. Full-face helmets and strong bike-handling skills are highly recommended!
The trail starts just above the well-known mountain refuge hotel Refugio de Juanar, at around 800m above sea level, and drops all the way down to the picturesque village of Ojén at approximately 300m. With over 500 metres of vertical descent, it’s a long, brutal, and thrilling ride.
Our van will be waiting for you at the bottom of the trail, just outside Ojén village. From there you have several options:
- Shuttle back up and ride it again (as many times as you want!)
- Head over to the nearby Ojén Enduro area for more trails
- Or enjoy a relaxed 30-minute drive back to our local Mijas mountains for a chilled descent down to base in Fuengirola
