Enjoy our 3 day tour (Long weekend) through the white villages and countryside of rural Andalucia
We ride at a leisurely pace with the emphasise on enjoying the spectacular countryside and rural hotels of Andalucia.
From the “Via Verdes” of Cadiz to the charms of coastal Malaga.
Each night staying at a different white village in a rural hotel with typical Spanish cuisine.
Easy riding averaging around 40 Kms. off-road in the hills of southern Spain.
Day 0 - FRIDAY (or earlier if you wish)
Fly into Malaga for collection from Malaga airport and transfer to Fuengirola.
Maybe a warmup ride if time allows.
Stay overnight at Sierra MTB house or in a local hotel.

Day 1 - SATURDAY
08:30 – Breakfast.
2 hour transfer to Olvera.
Start the ride from Olvera to Puerto Serrano, a distance of 38 Kms, gradually downhill all the way!
Ride gravel tracks to Montellano for lunch in this white village.
Ride back to Puerto Serrano where the bus will be waiting.
Transfer to Olvera to our rural hotel ‘Sierra y Cal’ where we spend the night in this fabulous village
The Via verde is an old railway track built before the Spanish Civil war and never finished and now developed for mountain biking and walking. It passes through the mountains with over 30 tunnels (these illuminate automatically as you pass through!), 5 old stations and 6 spectacular viaducts for 34km. The route passes along the Guadalete River and through the unique Zaframagón Vulture Reserve where numerous vultures circle overhead. The route finishes in the picturesque village of Olvera. We are staying at a rural hotel in the town centre “Sierra y Cal”.In the evening it´s worth a stroll to the castle and cathedral then dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 - SUNDAY
08:30 – Breakfast.
Ride straight from the Olvera hotel.
- Route Olvera – Zahara de las Sierras
The route is about 50 Kms. Half on dirt tracks, half on quiet country lanes and finishes in the picturesque village of Zahara de la Sierras.
There will be a lunch stop in the pretty village of Algodonales.
We are staying just outside the town centre in a lovely hotel called “Los Tadeos” .
In the evening it´s worth a stroll to the castle on the top of the village for a magnificent view over the lake.
We can then have a typical Spanish dinner in the hotel or in the village square.
Day 3 - MONDAY
08:30 – Breakfast.
Transfer to Ronda.
- Route Ronda – Marbella
Trip length around 40 Kms.
From 900 metres above sea level we climb to 1200 metres above sea-level. Then a glorious descent all the way to Marbella on the seafront.
The route is a spectacular trip through the Ronda mountains on gravel tracks with some easy singletrack.
Lots of dirt track descending with a stop to visit the oldest tree in Spain – 1000 years old and 12 feet in width.
We then have a short coastal ride to San Pedro where we transfer back to Fuengirola with a wide selection of good restaurants and bars.
Picnic by a waterfall halfway down.
Refreshing drinks stop on the beach at the end of the ride.
Day 4 - TUESDAY (or stay longer if you wish)
08:30 – Breakfast.
Transfer to airport or local ride if time allows.

PRICES & WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Cost: 680 Euros per person per long weekend (4 days) + bike hire of 60 Euros per day if required.
- Day 1: Transfer from Fuengirola to Olvera for the start of the "Via Verde".
- All luggage transfers each day.
- Hotels in Olvera, Zahara and Fuengirola (2 nights) with breakfast.
- Full guiding and bus support with driver(s).
- Day 3: Transfer from Zahara to Ronda. | Transfer from San Pedro to Fuengirola.
- Airport transfers.
- Extras: Lunches, evening meals & bike hire if required.
